These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the myTavern web application ("the Service"), a D&D character management tool with AI-assisted writing. By creating an account, you agree to these Terms in their entirety.
By creating an account and checking the acceptance box, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. Registration is reserved for individuals aged at least 15 years; minors between 15 and 18 must obtain the authorization of their legal representative.
myTavern provides tools for creating, editing, and sharing D&D 5e character sheets, managing campaigns, and using an AI writing assistant. The Service is provided "as is" and may be updated, modified, or discontinued at any time.
You retain ownership of all content you create on the Service (characters, text, images). By using the Service, you grant myTavern a worldwide, limited, non-exclusive license to store, display, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service. This license terminates automatically upon deletion of the content or your account, except for technical backups retained for the legally required period.
Content generated by the AI assistant is provided as a creative aid. myTavern makes no guarantee regarding the accuracy, originality, or fitness for purpose of AI-generated text. You are solely responsible for reviewing and using AI-generated content. AI processing is performed by OpenAI (USA). Ownership of generated content follows OpenAI's terms of use: it belongs to you within the limits of the rights OpenAI may transfer, and you bear sole responsibility for its use and publication.
The myTavern application, design, code, and branding are the property of Jonathan Witczak (SIREN 804 874 907). D&D content is used under the SRD 5.1 Open Gaming License (OGL 1.0a) or Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License as applicable. Wizards of the Coast trademarks ("Dungeons & Dragons", "D&D" and others) are used descriptively under fair use.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, myTavern shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Service, including loss of data, business interruption, or lost profits. myTavern's total liability to you is limited to the amount actually paid for the Service over the last 12 months, or 100 EUR if no amount has been paid. This limitation does not apply in case of willful misconduct, gross negligence, or breach of essential obligations.
You may delete your account at any time via Settings. We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute regarding their interpretation or performance shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the French courts. Prior to any legal action, the parties shall endeavor to resolve the dispute amicably, using if needed the European online dispute resolution platform (https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/).
